CASPer Test Login: Getting Into Your Acuity Insights Account
There is one login for CASPer and it is not where most people first look. The account lives at takealtus.com, run by Acuity Insights, and it handles registration, test day access, and your results. Here is what it does, how to fix it when it will not let you in, and what to do if it fails on test day.
The one thing to know
CASPer login is at takealtus.com. Acuity Insights is the company, Altus is the old name, and takealtus.com is the site. Same account for CASPer, Snapshot and Duet. Your school's application portal, AMCAS, and any prep platform you use are all separate systems with separate logins.
Acuity Insights, Altus, CASPer: the names explained
The naming is genuinely confusing and it is the reason people search for three different logins. Here is the map.

What your account actually does
Booking and rescheduling
Pick your test type, cycle, date and time. You can move your date from here up until registration closes for that sitting, roughly three days before it runs.
The system check
A browser-based test of your camera, microphone and connection. Run it from the account on the exact machine and network you will use, not a different one.
Test day entry
On the day, your test launches from inside the account. There is no separate app to install and no link emailed to you at the last minute.
Score distribution
Add the programs that should receive your result. You can add them before or after testing, at roughly $16 USD each past the ones your base fee covers.
Your results
Your quartile appears here two to three weeks after you test. More on the timing in how long CASPer results take.
When you cannot log in
Work through these in order. The first two solve the large majority of cases, and both are faster than waiting on a support reply.
1. You are on the wrong email
This is the number one cause. People register with a personal address and then try to log in with their university one, or the reverse. Run a password reset against every address you might plausibly have used. If the reset email arrives, that is your account.
2. Your browser is blocking the session
Strict privacy settings, aggressive ad blockers and third-party cookie blocking all break login flows. Try a clean browser profile with extensions disabled, or a different browser entirely. Do this before you assume the account is broken.
3. You have duplicate accounts
If you have applied in a previous cycle, you may have an old account and a new one. Only one of them has your current booking. Reset both, log into each, and check which shows your upcoming test.
4. Contact support with specifics
If none of that works, contact Acuity support through takealtus.com. Include the email addresses you tried, your test date, and the exact error text. A vague message gets a slow generic reply. A specific one gets resolved.
Do this a week out, not on the day
Log in once about a week before your test and once the day before. Not to prepare, just to confirm the account works, the date is right, and the system check passes. A login problem discovered a week out is an inconvenience. The same problem discovered ten minutes before your start time is a missed sitting.
Logging in on test day
Be at your desk and logged in fifteen minutes early. You will normally be able to enter a waiting area before your slot opens, and being there early costs you nothing while giving you room to fix a camera permission prompt or a browser update you forgot about.
Close everything else first
Other tabs, video calls, cloud backups and streaming all compete for bandwidth and can trip the connection check. Quit them properly rather than minimising them.
Have your ID physically in hand
You will be asked to show it. Do not go looking for it after your session has started.
Know your backup plan
A phone hotspot for a wifi failure, and the support contact from your confirmation email saved somewhere you can reach it without your laptop.
