Programs
CASPer Outside North America: Ireland, UK, NZ and More
CASPer is best known in Canada and the US, but Acuity's 2026–27 Dates and Fees page also lists programmes in Australia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Bahrain, Albania and Hong Kong. The biggest names are RCSI medicine and dentistry in Ireland and Bahrain, UK dental hygiene and therapy courses, and New Zealand teacher education. Each country has its own test type, and a score from one country cannot be sent to programmes in another.
The one-country rule
Acuity's country article explains that each country has its own CASPer test category. You are compared with applicants to programmes in the same country, and those applicants are rated by raters from that country. Acuity's assessment overview adds that raters are selected to reflect the population of the country where your programme is located.
The practical result: test results are not transferable between countries. Acuity's own example is an applicant to the US, Canada and the UK, who needs three separate tests.

RCSI in Ireland and Bahrain
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland appears on Acuity's Dates and Fees page under both Ireland and Bahrain. Under Ireland, RCSI medicine (Dublin and Bahrain campuses) and the Dublin Bachelor of Dental Surgery use the Undergraduate Health Sciences test (CSP-10901). Under Bahrain, RCSI medicine appears with a separate test code (CSP-11201).
Because the two country listings use different test codes, check which one your RCSI application route asks for before you book. RCSI's own admissions pages for your application route should say which applies; if they do not, ask RCSI admissions before booking. For medical-school context, see how much CASPer matters in medical admissions.
New Zealand
New Zealand has two test types. New Zealand Casper 1 (CSP-10300) covers Massey University's veterinary science programme and undergraduate teacher education at the University of Canterbury and Waikato University. New Zealand Casper 2 (CSP-20300) covers their graduate teacher education programmes. An undergraduate medicine category was listed, but with no schools for 2026–27.
Teacher candidates should also read CASPer for teacher education, and vet applicants CASPer for veterinary school.
Applying in more than one country
- List every programme and its country, then look up each one's test type on the Dates and Fees page, choosing the right country first.
- Expect one test per country, and sometimes more than one within a country if programmes use different test types.
- Check the time zone for each sitting. The Dates and Fees page lets you switch the displayed time zone.
- Plan your preparation once. The test format is shared across countries, so practice transfers even though scores do not.
Each sitting is compared with a different national pool, so your quartile can differ between countries. Our z-score guide explains why.
