Memorial University Medicine CASPer Requirements 2027
Memorial University requires every MD applicant to complete Casper 2, CSP-10211, for August 2027 entry. The three accepted test dates have passed, but applicants who already wrote the test must authorize score release to Memorial by September 24, 2026. Memorial says applications missing the score after that date will be closed.
Is CASPer required for Memorial Medicine?

Memorial CASPer dates and deadlines for 2027 entry
Memorial published three accepted CASPer sittings:
- July 19, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. NDT
- August 11, 2026 at 9:30 p.m. NDT

The MD application deadline was August 26, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Newfoundland time. The final deadline to release both MCAT and CASPer scores is September 24, 2026. These are different actions: submitting the application does not automatically distribute a CASPer result.

How to release your CASPer score to Memorial

Why the AAMC ID and birth date matter
Memorial uses the eight-digit AAMC ID generated when you register for the MCAT as the CASPer identifier. The university matches that number together with your date of birth. If either field differs from the medical-school application, the score may not be matched.
Memorial's application handbook warns that applicant entry errors leading to an incorrect or missing score will not be corrected by the Admissions Office. Copy the AAMC ID rather than retyping it from memory, then compare the date-of-birth format and value in both systems before the deadline.
What is the current CASPer format?
Memorial and Acuity both describe 11 scenarios for the 2026-27 cycle: four video-response scenarios and seven typed-response scenarios. Each video scenario contains two questions with one minute per recorded response. Each typed scenario contains two questions answered together in 3.5 minutes.
Acuity provides a 10-minute optional break after the video section and a five-minute optional break after the first four typed scenarios. The estimated total time is 65 to 85 minutes. A laptop or desktop computer, webcam, microphone, government photo ID, valid email address, and reliable high-speed internet are required. Does Memorial require a specific CASPer quartile?
Memorial does not publish third quartile as a formal eligibility cutoff on the reviewed pages. Its evaluation page says that in previous admissions, CASPer results were typically in the third quartile or higher. That is a description of prior applicants, not a guaranteed minimum for the current cycle.
A historical typical result cannot tell you how your whole file will be reviewed, whether the applicant pool will change, or whether a given quartile will produce an interview. Can you reuse or retake the score?
