CASPer Test Dates 2026–27: Remaining Sittings by Test Type
CASPer does not have one calendar. Acuity Insights publishes separate sittings for each test type, and each program accepts only the sittings that finish before its own distribution deadline. As of October 15, 2026, the Canadian Casper 2 test used by medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and therapy programs has nine sittings left, from November 5, 2026 to April 29, 2027. US medicine has six, from October 20, 2026 to February 9, 2027.
How CASPer test dates work
You book a specific sitting, a date and start time, for the test type your program requires. Acuity's Dates and Fees tool shows which sittings each program accepts and its distribution deadline, the date by which your score must reach that program. A sitting shown for your program is one that meets its deadline. The same tool lists these booking rules:
- Reserve at least three days before your preferred sitting; last-minute bookings are not recommended.
- Submit accommodation forms and documents four weeks before your scheduled test.
- A rescheduling fee applies within 30 days of, or after, your confirmed test time.
- Fees are non-refundable and valid only for the current admissions cycle.
- You cannot take the same test type more than once per cycle.

Canada Casper 2 (CSP-10211) test dates
Casper 2 is the Canadian test for professional health-science programs, including undergraduate medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, physician assistant, veterinary medicine, optometry, respiratory therapy and graduate social work. The fee is $50 CAD plus $20 CAD for each additional program. Remaining English sittings as of October 15, 2026:

Earlier 2026–27 sittings ran from July 19 to October 15, 2026. Not every program accepts every remaining date. For example, Acuity lists optometry's last sitting as November 5, 2026, physician assistant and veterinary medicine programs through February 18, 2027, and some occupational therapy, physical therapy and radiography programs through April 29, 2027. Check your exact program.
Canadian medical school CASPer cut-offs for 2026–27
Most Canadian MD programs that use CASPer accepted their last sitting on or before October 15, 2026. These are the last accepted Casper 2 sittings and distribution deadlines Acuity lists for undergraduate medicine:

Acuity's Queen's listing adds that, apart from retakes from the October 3 sitting, Queen's will not allow retakes for tests taken in October, and that scores from the October 15 sitting will arrive in time for its deadlines. Canada Casper 1 (CSP-10200) test dates
Casper 1 is used by programs such as undergraduate nursing, Bachelor of Education, dental hygiene, midwifery, undergraduate social work and engineering. The fee is $50 CAD plus $20 CAD per additional program. Remaining English sittings as of October 15, 2026:

Program cut-offs vary widely. Acuity lists Bachelor of Education through February 21, 2027, engineering and conditional pharmacy admission through March 2, 2027, and some nursing programs through July 20, 2027. CaRMS residency CASPer dates (CSP-20201)
Residency applicants in the R-1 match book the Postgraduate Medical Education test ($120 CAD). It has only four English sittings for the whole cycle: September 24, October 15 and November 5, 2026 at 8:00 PM Eastern, then March 5, 2027 at 8:00 PM EST. The French version (CSP-20201F) lists November 5, 2026 and March 6, 2027 at 1:00 PM EST. CaRMS confirms the first-iteration sessions in its help centre. US CASPer test dates
US medicine (CSP-10111): MD and DO programs
$85 USD, including distribution to nine schools, plus $20 USD for each additional school. The 2026–27 US medicine schedule began on March 19, 2026. Remaining sittings:

It follows the same calendar as US medicine above, and some programs, such as physician assistant and graduate nursing, also accept two later sittings: Tuesday, February 23, 2027 at 8:00 PM EST and Thursday, March 18, 2027 at 6:00 PM EDT.

Used by programs such as undergraduate nursing and dental hygiene. Remaining sittings:

How to choose your CASPer test date
Choose the sitting that satisfies your earliest deadline and still leaves you a fallback. Because you get one attempt per test type per cycle, the goal is not the latest possible date but one you can keep. Work through it in this order:
- List every program and its test type. Programs on different test types need separate tests.
- Find the earliest distribution deadline among programs on the same test type, and note the last sitting each one accepts.
- Pick a sitting with at least one later accepted sitting after it. If illness or a technical problem forces a reschedule, you still have a date that counts.
- Work back from that date: accommodation documents four weeks before, booking at least three days before, and enough practice time. Our guides on how long to prepare and the best time to write CASPer help with that.
- Plan for the results wait. Acuity usually notifies applicants of their quartile four to five weeks after the test (Acuity), while programs receive the score through your distribution list.

When will 2027–28 CASPer dates open?
Not yet. On October 15, 2026, Acuity's tool offered only the 2025–26 and 2026–27 admissions cycles. In the current cycle, US medicine sittings started on March 19, 2026 and Canadian Casper 2 sittings on July 19, 2026, so applicants for fall 2028 entry should expect the next schedule well before those points in 2027. That is an observation from this cycle, not an Acuity commitment; we will update this page when the 2027–28 dates appear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do CASPer test dates fill up?+
Acuity's Dates and Fees page does not publish seat limits for individual sittings. It does say to book at least three days before your preferred date and that last-minute bookings are not recommended. The tighter constraint is usually the number of sittings left before your program's distribution deadline, so book as soon as you know your date.
Are CASPer test times in Eastern time?+
The times on this page are Eastern. Acuity's tool can show sittings in your local time or in Eastern time. Check the time zone on your reservation confirmation, especially if you live in western Canada, Atlantic Canada or outside North America.
Can I take CASPer twice in one cycle to get a better date or score?+
No. Acuity does not allow you to take the same test type more than once per admissions cycle. If you need a different date, reschedule the reservation you have; a fee applies within 30 days of your test time.
Can I add a school after I take CASPer?+
Yes, as long as that school's distribution deadline has not passed and it uses the same test type. Acuity lets you add programs to your distribution list before or after your test from the Reservations page.
What if no dates are left for my program?+
If every sitting accepted by your program has passed, you cannot meet its CASPer requirement this cycle with a new test. Contact the program's admissions office directly to ask whether any exception applies, and confirm the next cycle's dates when Acuity publishes them.
